Urban Research and Development Centre for Africa (URADCA) is a registered Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) operating in Kenya since 1996.

URADCA is governed by a Board of Directors and managed by a highly talented, experienced and passionate executive team.

Executive team members at URADCA

Dr. Atei Kerochi,
(MBChB, MPH)

Dr. Atei Kerochi is an epidemiologist and a lecturer at the School of Public Health, Mount Kenya University.
He has over 25 years' experience in public health and specializes in multi-sectoral project design, management, monitoring and evaluation and project assessments.

Dr. Isaac M. Malonza

Dr. Malonza is the CEO and Technical Director of URADCA.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO is responsible for executing the mission and strategy of URADCA and oversees the entire operation of the NGO.
As Technical Director, he oversees program design, implementation, data reporting and dissemination of research findings to key stakeholders.

Dr. Edwin Oyaro Ondieki
(PhD)

Dr. Edwin Oyaro Ondieki is a founding director of URADCA where he has served in several capacities.
Currently, he serves as the Secretary to the Board of Directors. He is a lecturer in Architecture at the University of Nairobi and practices with Strasa Architects.

Prof. Fiona Mbai

Prof. Mbai is responsible for the design of URADCA surveys and oversees a robust quality control system that assures the integrity and accuracy of data collected from surveys.

Ms. Jane W. Wandaka

Ms. Jane Wanjiru Wandaka is the Founder and CEO of Janiwa Enterprises.
Ms. Wandaka has business interests in the textile industry. She is passionate about adolescent sexual and reproductive health (ASRH) and practices adolescent counselling.

Dr. Peter Gisore

DIRECTOR:
CHILD HEALTH EXPERT

Dr Gisore is URADCA's Director of Child Health. He is an accomplished researcher specializing in pediatrics and neonatology and is a faculty member at Aga Khan University, Nairobi. Prior to joining the Aga Khan University, Dr Gisore was a Senior lecturer at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital/Moi University, 2004-2016.

Mr. George O. Momanyi

DIRECTOR:
PARTNERSHIPS AND PROGRAM OPERATIONS

Mr. Momanyi oversees URADCA's program operations in the field and is responsible for coordination with MOH, County Governments, partners and leaders at community level. He is a registered nurse who specializes in immunization and health systems management. Mr. Momanyi coordinates a national technical assistance project, funded by CDC through the African Field Epidemiology network, to strengthen routine immunization at county level.

Mr. Ngugi Mwenda

DIRECTOR:
MONITORING, EVALUATION AND LEARNING

He provides oversight for program's planning, evaluation, knowledge management and monitoring.
He defines process and impact indicators, oversees data management and is responsible for data editing, analysis and reporting.
Mwenda is highly experienced with national survey methodology and data analysis being the leading statistician at the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS) since 2012.
