Dr. Atei Kerochi (MBChB, MPH)
Chairman of Board Directors
Dr. Atei Kerochi is an epidemiologist and a lecturer at the School of Public Health, Mount Kenya University. He has over 25 years’ experience in public health and specializes in multi-sectoral project design, management, monitoring and evaluation and project assessments. He has a passion for capacity building of research and program health professionals. He has worked both as a consultant and in senior management positions at various national and international humanitarian organizations including the UN in different countries of Africa. Dr Kerochi is also the chair of the Board of Directors of Kisii Eye Hospital in Western Kenya.
Dr Edwin Oyaro Ondieki (PhD)
Secretary to the Board
Dr Edwin Oyaro Ondieki is a founding director of URADCA where he has served in several capacities. Currently, he serves as the Secretary to the Board of Directors. He is a lecturer in Architecture at the University of Nairobi and practices with Strasa Architects. Edwin serves in an advisory capacity at National Industrial Training Authority (NITA) and Kenya Bureau of Standards (KeBS). He has previously worked for the Ministry of Public Works as architect and later, as instructor at Kenya Institute of Highways and Building Technology (KIHBT) between 1994 and 2003. He studied architecture at the University of Nairobi (Kenya), University of Auckland (New Zealand) and Oslo School of Architecture ( Norway). Dr Ondieko has dedicated much of his studies to issues of urbanization and specifically urban housing.
Ms. Jane Wanjiru Wandaka
Treasurer to the Board
Ms. Jane Wanjiru Wandaka is the Founder and CEO of Janiwa Enterprises. Ms. Wandaka has business interests in the textile industry. She is passionate about adolescent sexual and reproductive health (ASRH) and practices adolescent counselling. She is pursuing further studies in counselling psychology at Tangaza University.
